I believe year 2012 gonna be much better than 2011!
My anchor verse for 2012:
“This is what the LORD says— he who made a way through the sea, a path through the mighty waters, “Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past. See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the wilderness and streams in the wasteland.” Isaiah 43:16, 18-19 NIVI will not dwell on the past.
I am looking forward to the new things God is doing. I want to move forward with God.
Forgetting the former things means to leave behind my achievements and my failures.
Both can hinder me from moving forward in 2012.
Looking back to my failure sometimes can encourage me to do better, but yet sometime can make me even more down and unworthy to move forward.
It is the same with achievement, yes it can motivate me to do better and encourage me when I am in my down moment, to remember that God has bring me through and He will do the same now.
But achievement can hold me back from achieving more and greater things in the future if I keep looking back and admiring my own achievement in the past.
I want to start this 2012 with a new blank piece of paper, a new fresh start again. And when I end 2012 later, I'll amaze how God has done more this year compared to my previous year.
Actually I was thinking and wondering what will be my anchor verse this year.
I don't know where to find the verse and I open biblegateway.com to see the verse of the day.
And I fall in love with the verse of the day right away! :)
This year focus will be: MOVING FORWARD with God. ^_^
