As promised, i will blog about wedding.
Well, as Indonesian, my parents care a lot about i am not getting married soon.
Since my second year in my college life, they had tried to introduce me to some guys and hoped i could clique with one of them. I observe in Indonesia, a lot of parents like to let their children marry soon, especially for girl one. It is a taboo if a woman still has not married when their ages reach late 20s.
Then parents will be a match maker so that their child is not left out.
Well, personally my parents nag me a lot about this, about why until now i still don't have any boyfriend, and don't have intention in getting married.
When finally we have intention in getting married, they (parents) will be the one who organize the wedding party. They can be a very good wedding organizer, from choosing the date, order wedding dress, book (search and book) the venue, even deciding the menu on that actual day.
The most important thing, usually parents will be the main sponsor of that wedding. :)
The bad point is that the bride and groom can't really decide what kind of wedding they want to hold, because parents will arrange what kind of wedding they want to have for their son/daughter.
While i observe here in Singapore, based on forum that i read... The bride and groom to be are the one who in charge more in organizing their own wedding. The bride and groom to be must estimate their own funds and allocate wisely.
Planning the wedding themselves can be very fun but also can bring a long quarrellings.
Especially if they want to save money here and there. Then try to cut here and there, until the wedding is not that meaningful.
To have a simple wedding already need to have a big amount of money.
Back to topic...
In Indonesia, parents seem the one who take more effort in realizing their children's wedding.
Parents of the groom will propose (visit the parents of the bride and ask them to hand their daughter to their son)
For example, if my bf propose me to be his wife, then he must visit my parents with his parents, to tell my parents about his will to marry me. they must make a formal visit to my parents. :)
but before that my parents of course already aware about my relationship with my bf, and agree if one day i will marry him. if they don't agree they won't let me go into the relationship.
But here i see the parents seem to be more passive, they just wait until their children tell them that they are going to get married. And parent are not really involved in planning the wedding.
Then in my country, the ROM and wedding dinner is held in the same day :).
Well the ROM is not that important, the most important is the actual day when they hold the wedding (dinner/lunch). The tradition is almost the same, tea ceremony etc.
Because parents are involved much in preparing the wedding, then they have the most privilege to invite their guests.
Well, actually each tribe in Indonesia has its own traditional wedding :)
Then it has its own wedding dress, the food, the ceremony differently.
But i don't want to try it one day i decide to get married ;p just a little bit troublesome and a lot of pantangs. =)
Reading topics in wedding forum makes me want to get married soon.
I think it's very fun to plan out our own wedding. Then i think i would like to help my friend to plan their dream wedding too. Organizing such event make me excited.
Well maybe one day i can be a wedding organizer ;)
To prepare one wedding can take around 6 months to 1 year. Quite a long preparation, but its worth if we can make the clients happy and satisfied. This satisfaction is important in advertising and promote the business. Testimony is the best advertisement. ;)
I think on the next post about wedding, i'll write what should we prepare for wedding ;)

banjir
Kota gw kebanjiran!
Banjir terbesar kedua setelah tahun 1965. Tapi thank God, rumah gw kaga kena :)
Aman damai dan tentram. Tentu saja kalo sampai rumah gw kebanjiran, kota Solo sudah menjadi danau kali ya? soalnya rumah gw itu termasuk daerah paling tinggi. :D
Hmm saatnya kota Solo belajar yang namanya menjaga kebersihan, gak buang sampah sembarangan yang kalau hujan turun berhari-hari bakal bikin saluran macet, sungai meluap dan.... banjir datang :)
GW lagi ga ada topik yang mau dibahas, dan lagi males nulis pake bahasa inggris.
so... yah begini lah, kayanya bahasa indo lebih cocok dipake ketika pingin nulis gak jelas :) hehe.
lebih gimana gitu dalam menyampaikan maksud hati. =p
sebenernya ada satu topik menarik yang pingin gw tulis, akibat dari membaca sebuah forum.
jadi pengen ngebahas juga di blog ini. hmm liat besok lah kalo gw di kantor besok kaga ada kegiatan, gw bkal tulis :) hehe... topiknya itu tentang 'wedding'.

today i buy 2 stuffed animal to be donated to toy's day.
my boss was generous this year because he donates a lot of toys. Yesterday he went to office to pass me the toys and went to another office to work. wah, so good he is.
i'm sure this year toy's day will be successful and can bless all the children.
Today i've finished my colleague task last time... he did halfway then now i continue it.
Quite lazy to read and study about it in the first time, but after know and understand a bit, i feel it is not too difficult to do. it's still easier than programming. :)
Today i were angry... because my office tea lady bought a wrong lunch for me!
i ordered rice, how come she gave me beehoon?
she always order wrongly for me. dunno what she thinks, or maybe she hates me.
that time got one time i order lunch from her, i said only $2.50, but she charged me $3.
then if i order lunch $3.20, she charged me $3.50. Arrgghh!!!
I hate her. Then everytime i tok to her, she just pretend never understand what i am talking about. grrr!
Well enough ranting about today... :p
i feel so sleepy, maybe tonite wanna sleep early. :)

love story part 1
Let me tell you a story of my friends since their story is similar to mine...
Due to privacy let's call them Mr.X, Miss Y and Mr.Z. :)
Once upon a time... lives an ordinary girl, named Miss Y.
She is a kind innocent girl, a little bit stubborn and not easily give up in reaching her dream.
To make the story short, she likes her friend, Mr Z.
They are chatting almost everyday, talking about everything, teasing each other. They are good friend, more than that, they are close friend.
Until one day Miss Y thought she has fallen for Mr Z.
Since she is a daring person, she gives hints to Mr Z. But... love is not going to be easy for Miss Y.
Because, Mr Z doesn't give any good response, but can't say Miss Y has no hope too since Mr Z shows no rejection to her.
Then Miss Y decided to wait for Mr Z to be ready to go into relationship and just remain friend for current time.
Miss Y likes Mr Z because she can be herself in front of him, enjoy to be with him and she can show her weaknesses to Mr Z without fear that Mr Z won't accept her.
Short story she enjoys the friendship with Mr Z.
Mr Z is a cool and patient guy, he is a good listener also, give companion to miss Y in difficult time. Mr Z is a very busy man at work, most of his time he spends in office, working.
Time management is one of his reason not to go into any relationship with any girl.
Because he is afraid he cannot manage his time well, then might neglect his girlfriend. This will be unfair for the girlfriend.
He has intention to find a gf, but time management is one of the hindrance.
He is planning he will start looking for gf when he can settle with his job. Maybe look for another better job that no need to do a lot of overtime.
But he is a faithful man too that he doesn't want to quit his current job due to the project he has involved (the project that don't know when can finish).
I think the customer want a lifetime support, some more the customer is hard to please and like to exploit people. Huh!
So, while Miss Y is waiting for Mr Z to settle his problems, she is not closing her heart.
She like to be friends with a lot of people... until she met Mr X.
What a coincident, Mr X is a friend of Mr Z! How small this world is.
Well, usually she doesn't like to be friend with stranger, but since Mr X is Mr Z's friend, why not she become his friend too.
Time flies, they become closer too.
Until one day, Mr X asked Miss Y to be his gf.
Uhm.. it's not fair if i never write about Mr X.
Well, Mr X is a smart guy. He is a romantic person ( not a cool guy type). He is nice, caring and capable. Well from what i heard from Miss Y, Mr X doesn't have any bad points. He is a great guy, that has a lot of female friends ( dunno can consider him as a playboy or not, this one she never mentioned clearly how he maintained his friendship with a lot of female friends).
Well, since he has a lot of female friends, he can be a playboy or, he is really a nice and gentleman guy. Well if he is really nice and gentleman, then can give him score almost perfect in his characters to be a perfect boyfriend. :) . He is a very busy person too at work.
To compare Mr X and Mr Z.
* Miss Y likes Mr Z better because she know him longer than Mr X.
* Miss Y never meet with Mr X in person.
* Mr X and Mr Z, both busy with their work.
* Both are not in the same city with Miss Y.
* Mr X is romantic, Mr Z is cool.

When Mr X asked Miss Y to be his gf, she thought he was joking only, and never took it seriously.
She kept wondering why Mr X would ask her to be his gf. He even hasn't met her in person, what made him sure about her. What he saw in her.
She was hoping that Mr Z was the one who asked her to be his gf. But he did not.
Now she is still confused what must she does? Should she wait for Mr Z to be ready and propose her? or should she just accept Mr X, since she doesn't hate Mr X too.
Mr Z knows that Miss Y likes him. Miss Y is not sure whether their feeling is mutual.

What factors will be your consideration in choosing life partner?

2008 resolution (draft)
Christmas is over, means it's time to make a new resolution!
2008 is coming!
Since 2007 is going to end soon in few days...
let me remember about my resolution i've made early this year :)
Remembering what i have done in 2006, what is my achievements, and what is my failures.
What i need to do in 2007, for God, for my family, for my friends, for myself.
2007 RESOLUTION
In my spiritual life,
* i wish i can maintain a stable relationship with God.
* read bible 4 chapter everyday.
* i want to serve God more in ushering ppls.
In my characters,
* more patient.
* have a teachable heart.
* reduce my stubbornness.
* more humble.
* learn to accept ppl whatever they are.
In my study,
* learn mandarin until advanced level by this yr
* be able to speak in mandarin
* learn troubleshooting
* learn photoshop, adobe illustrator, coreldraw (design)
My daily life,
* i wish i could reduce my weight err.. 1 kg per 2 months.
* exercise at least once a week.
* eat a good n healty food.
* save $1000 per month.
In my work life,
* pray for my pre-believer colleagues
* i want apply PR.
In my family life,
* i wish for my family salvation
* financial breakthrough.
In care group,
* get involved more in CG
* be a shepherd
Well... some i've done, some haven't done.
This year i shall close with a new resolution for 2008.

Christmas
MeRrY ChRiStMaS!!
This Christmas i celebrated with my church friends.
We went to JB, Austin Golf Club to count down Christmas.
Basically we did a lot of shopping and eating.
The shopping was fun, but not for the eating. We spend quite a lot of money on food, but the food was disappointing. My suggestion, go JB, just eat normal cheap food will do, the taste not much different, then you will have more funds to shop :D.
The bad news is, my long weekend shall end. tomorrow must go back to work. sigh.
i still want holiday!!
well let's count how many days to Chinese New Year... Still 1 month + to go.
This year we still have the same christmas charity, named Toy's Day.
We invite children from the low income family to celebrate christmas together.
The main concept is to bless the children by giving christmas gifts and impart the good values to them.

i were looking behind.
to a place that i were not looking at it
these recent time.
it was empty.
but i kept looking at it.
and it would not change anything,
it is still empty.
the person who left, would never come back.
and i am still standing there.
looking at the empty place.
a place that i almost forget.
I'm waiting for emails that will never come.
I'm waiting for calls that my phone will never rings.
I'm hoping a miracle that will never happens.
i keep hoping and hoping.
but actually i know that is only an empty hope.
a leaf that has fallen to the ground,
will never come back to the tree.
but the good news is still,
it comes back to the mother earth.

Merry Christmas :)
Waaa today i'm so happy... :)
Today i went to office on my off day! just to be a santa claus ^_^
Then i went to Suntec City Mall, The Rock Auditorium to celebrate Christmas.
That was fun, singing christmas carols, praising & worshiping God.
The most exciting part was exchanging gift :). Received a lot of gift this year :)

Screening : National Treasure 2 : Book of Secret
Watching National Treasure, book of secret today @ Suntec City Mall.
Thanks to Nuffnang once again i can get the tickets :)
The movie was great.
I love historical movie. Well the concept is slightly not much different with the first National Treasure Movie. :)
But i dun really like Nicholas Cage there. Not so ~ handsome... Xp
I like to see historical place, the way they make this movie really make me want to go there to see.
While watching this movie, i couldn't concentrate. I just enjoy the scenery and the puzzle, and how they solve the puzzle. But seems not really good the way they arranged the puzzle.
Anyway... go and watch yourself :)

Another farewell
I was so sad to lose a friend like you.
To lose you forever, until the day we will meet again someday.
I was curious to know what happen to you. My regret is that i am no longer close to you, no longer be your close friend. But you always be my bestfriend in my heart.
It such a great lost to me, to know you are no longer there.
Everytime i remember about you, i cannot bear my tears.
Even when i write this post, my tears keep flowing down.
Let tonight i remember again all about you.
Writing down all the memories i have about you.
After that i will close this book and never open it again.
First time i met her was 10 years ago, when i was in first junior school.
We met in Caregroup, and i was ignoring you.
But after that, we start serving together, growing together, and taking part in ministry together.
Spent a lot of time together, wrote letter of encouragement to each other.
I still have your letter. Lucky i never bring them here, if not i will read them again and again. and i will keep crying and crying.
I was jealous toward you when we were together in ministry, and you knew about that, but you were still nice to me. We even become closer.
At school, we always went to canteen together during break time, even set a prayer group together at school.
I remember we did a lot of things together, planned a lot of things together.
You had been such a great courage to me, a friend that always there for me. Whenever i feel sad or down, you never fail to encourage me, to listen to me.
I still remember that day when u told me that you're leaving.
I cried. that you went so far away. But i still had hope to meet you again one day.
We kept contact each other by writing our activities on diary, and exchanged tat diary for each other read.
To share each other crush. to share joy, to share difficulties, to share burdens.
It's so sudden you leave and i just cant take it easily.
You know, we all really miss you so much.
Although the sentence were never spoken, but each of us know, that our friendship will nver change.
It's a great opportunity to know you, to have you as my bestfriend and i thank God.
You had been such a big impact in my life. Without your encouragement, without your advise, i may not become what i am today.
Thank you friend. i hope and i pray all the best for you.
You know the truth, whatever way you choose, you shouldn't regret it. I dun dare and i don't want to think further. I don't want to assume anything.
God, i just can't believe all this thing happens so sudden. I just don't want to believe.
The first time i heard about the news i was like shocked. It's impossible! She just updated her profile few days ago you know. I was like can't accept it. I was still thinking she was just there, doing her study, and nothing happens. Maybe those people have mistaken. Maybe that was coincidence, the person have the same name. But no. It's true. I learn to accept and move on.
I shall continue my life, even without you, friend, but you will always live in my heart.

Christmas @ Orchard
Hi hi...
What am i going to blog about?
Let me blog about yesterday activity, since yesterday i were so damn tired to blog.
Yesterday i went to church to celebrate Christmas. The theme of the service was Toy's Factory.
Got drama that told about an uncle, toy maker, who created toys and love the toys. He created his toy with its own purpose.

had a long walk from Istana Park to Tangs, enjoying the scenery, Xmas carols along the way.
Well, although Christmas is still 9 days more to go, Yesterday i really felt Christmas @ ORchard.
Very crowded with people, Christmas lights all the way, Christmas Carols.
I love Christmas :).
That nite we had a small game @ ORchard.
The game was about guessing 3 meeting points along Orchard road. From one point to another point we had tasks that must be finished before reaching another points.
Mostly we must took photos. A lot of photos. Yay! We like to take photos. :)
First task: take photos with as many christmas tree as we can :), take photos with people who wear Santa's attribute.
Second task: bless people.
Third: sing Christmas Carol.

Ayu, the first toy, was made from Kayu (Wood) that's why she was named Ayu.
She asked the toy maker, why she has a wide mouth. The toy maker said, because so that she can smile everyday and brighten up everyone else with her smile.
Aliat, the second toy, was made from Tanah Liat (Clay).
He asked the toy maker, why he has such big eyes. The toy maker said, he wants Aliat to witness all his creation, so that Aliat can tell the world about his father's creation.
Atu, the third toy, was made from Batu Es( Stone).
He asked the toy maker, why he has such big and shiny head. The toy maker said, he wants Atu to understand all his creation, and why he creates toys and the purpose, so that Atu can explain to people about Toy maker. The purpose why he creates toy.

What is our National Treasure?
I'll blog about our National Treasure ( since i'm indonesian, i'll paste Indonesia National Treasure photo here). I think it's not fair if i blog about Singapore National Treasure :)
So.... Here it is.... I think Indonesia National Treasure is a....
a piece of paper.
This one is a replica of Supersemar written by the First Indonesia President.
This one is not the real one.
This letter, called Supersemar, brings a big secret of Indonesia History.
This letter granted a power to Suharto, by Presiedent Soekarno to take any movement/decision that needed to stabilize the nation. And because of that letter, Suharto showed up to be the next president.
Mysteriously, the original document of this letter cannot be traced anymore.
So it's still a mystery what was stated on that letter. Was that letter originally written and signed by Mr President Soekarno? No body knows, only both party knows. But of course we cannot questioning neither President Soekarno since he already died, nor President Suharto (He won't reveal the truth, i think he is going to keep the truth with him forever). This letter was issued to destroy PKI (Indonesian Communist Party).
Well because of that letter, Suharto ruled Indonesia for 3 decades until Indonesia Revolution in 1998.
A piece of paper, that changed our Nations.
I choose Supersemar to be our national treasure, is inspired by National Treasure 2, Book of Secret.
Let me put a title for this national treasure of Indo, A Letter of Secret. :)

Christmas Shopping
Today i went shopping for XMAS :)
Shopping for my close friends. While thinking what to buy, it keeps popping up another name i need to buy gift too. oh my...
Well, i dun buy so ex gift :). as long as sincere to give then enough already.
It's not because the gift, but because our sincerity to give.
I haven't finished my shopping. but almost 50% :)
Too tired today, then shop halfway only. after that go back home. Today shop for 4 persons :)
Now at home i'm lazy to wrap all the gifts. I just put aside one side. they are waiting to be wrapped :) then i still need to think and prepare the christmas card. :) handmade one. i dun like buying cards. i prefer handmade but need to think and find time to make T__T
Went shopping @ Orchard alone.
Quite pretty the way the deco the road :)
Christmas is really near and coming soon :)
I love christmas because Christmas means Salvation.
Jesus has died for my life.
Another things, Christmas means Holiday!!! Yay i love holiday :)

Christmas @ Beach
I am very tired and sleepy now.
But i'm going to blog today's activity. Christmas @ The Beach.
Yes, we go to Palawan Beach @ Sentosa to have a gathering and playing games there.
Luckily it's not raining hard, but rain a bit, then stop, then rain again then stop. on off raining.
But we still can enjoy the games, although my groups always be the last group and has the lowest score. :)
Here are some photos i took with my hp... the rest were taken by Michael.
I'm waiting for he sending all the photos to us :)
a day before, i managed to catch Starhub roadshow @ Civic Plaza.
I was about to win a handphone! But i did not.
The game was easy, only guessing the christmas song. But all the players on stage couldn't guess it.
I thought if i were on the stage, i would win it easily. But i just win a goodie bag since i were only audience.
After that i managed to take photo with TUZKI. :) a bunny from China, created by Wang Momo.
This tuzki is cute :)
I'm still hoping i can get the Moto Q9H from Nuffnang ;)
I already took pic with Tuzki leh.
Hope this will bring me a good luck to get the Moto Q9H ^___^
